-Self-sufficiency, Homelessness, the American Dream- What perception does the society hold concerning the nature of homelessness? Are these perceptions correct, incorrect, or just misinformed? What does the society on a collective level owe to those that suffer from serious institutional inequality. To be a marginalized voice, does it mean that you're voice is meaningless? What is the purpose of privilege and collective responsibility. The realization of equality is in many ways the purpose of the american dream, or is it? Is the american dream a justification for heartless competition, and the existence of poverty just an unfortunate bi-product of the preferred system? If so, what do we do with those that are vulnerable and cannot provide for themselves?
These are some of the questions I gained from looking at these issues.
